RCB have been present for the entire IPL era and have played 282 matches — almost as many as MI. Total wins and win percentage tell different stories. Both are valid ways to judge a team’s success — but they reward different things.

Total wins reward longevity and volume. A team that has played since 2008 will simply accumulate more wins over time, even if their win rate is moderate. That is why MI lead this list with 155 wins despite CSK winning at a higher rate.

Win percentage rewards consistency. It strips away the advantage of playing more matches and asks: when this team took the field, how often did they win? On that measure, Gujarat Titans hold the best win percentage in IPL history at 58.57% — but they have played just 70 matches. Their sample size is too small for a fair long-run comparison.
