A match against Ireland will kick off India’s 2024 T20 World Cup campaign at the Nassau County Stadium in New York. Rohit Sharma will have to answer several questions when he announces his team at the toss, most notably who will be his opening partner, Virat Kohli or Yashasvi Jaiswal.

After the tournament, Dravid will not be continuing in the role, meaning the T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies is his last opportunity to win an ICC title.
