1. Optus Stadium, Perth (November 22-26)

Virat Kohli scored a century in the Indian team’s only Test at Optus Stadium, but it was beaten by 146 runs. This time, the pitch will be pace-friendly, which will favor the stronger bowling unit. The stadium can hold around 60,000 people, and reports suggest the first Test will be jam-packed.

   – Leading Run-Scorer (2018-19): Marnus Labuschagne (519 runs at an average of 103.80)

   – Leading Wicket-Taker (2018-19): Nathan Lyon (27 wickets at an average of 18.00)

   – Average First Innings Total (2018-19): 456 runs

   – Australia’s Record Since 2018: Matches – 4, Wins – 4, Losses – 0

2. Adelaide Oval (December 6-10)

India’s last Test match in Adelaide saw them bowled out for just 36 runs, a memory that will weigh heavily on the players. This is a Day-Night Test, and Rohit Sharma’s team has had limited experience with the pink ball recently. India has played 13 Tests at Adelaide Oval, winning only two and losing eight.

   – Leading Run-Scorer (2018-19): Marnus Labuschagne (574 runs at an average of 71.75)

   – Leading Wicket-Taker (2018-19): Mitchell Starc (30 wickets at an average of 17.20)

   – Average First Innings Total (2018-19): 375 runs

   – Australia’s Record Since 2018: Matches – 6, Wins – 5, Losses – 1

3. The Gabba, Brisbane (December 14-18)

Indian players ended Australia’s 32-year unbeaten streak at the Gabba in 2021, and it’s still a challenge. India has played seven Tests here, Five wins and five losses, but their recent win should boost their confidence. A well-balanced pitch is expected.

   – Leading Run-Scorer (2018-19): Marnus Labuschagne (497 runs at an average of 62.12)

   – Leading Wicket-Taker (2018-19): Pat Cummins (36 wickets at an average of 17.25)

   – Average First Innings Total (2018-19): 227 runs

   – Australia’s Record Since 2018: Matches – 6, Wins – 4, Losses – 2

4. Melbourne Cricket Ground (December 26-30)

The iconic MCG will host the Boxing Day Test, where seamers have recently dominated, making it tough for batters. Both teams will rely on their pace attacks. It’s been a great place to watch cricket with daily attendance often exceeding 80,000. India has played 14 Tests at the MCG, winning four and losing eight.

   – Leading Run-Scorer (2018-19): David Warner (361 runs at an average of 60.16)

   – Leading Wicket-Taker (2018-19): Pat Cummins (31 wickets at an average of 15.41)

   – Average First Innings Total (2018-19): 299 runs

   – Australia’s Record Since 2018: Matches – 6, Wins – 4, Losses – 2

5. Sydney Cricket Ground (January 3-7)

In the series finale, the Sydney Cricket Ground will host the final, traditionally a venue that supports spinners. So India might be able to field both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja? Weather conditions have disrupted play in recent years. In 13 Tests at the SCG, India has won one and lost seven.

   – Leading Run-Scorer (2018-19): Marnus Labuschagne (734 runs at an average of 81.55)
